Benjamin has served as an academic advisor, college educator, and career coach since 2011 and a mental health practitioner since 2018. He has been a 100% telehealth provider since 2020. Clinical specialties include adult assessment services, neurodivergence, adult career and education counseling, and telehealth services. Benjamin is an AuDHD provider.
Past leadership roles include Secretary for the Committee on Transfer & Articulation (CoTA - Missouri Department of Higher Education), Transfer & Articulation Officer for the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Assistant Director of Financial Aid for the University of Kansas, and Department Manager for the Office of Placement & Training at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology's Clinical PsyD Program. Leadership and oversight for the practice is provided by The Purple Wellness Trust Inc, a 501c3 non-profit organization. All staff members of the practice hold a seat on the Trust's board to ensure everyone's voice can be heard and considered as part of practice decision making regardless of a person's professional role. The board also includes members from the communities we are proud to serve, providing an opportunity for diverse stakeholders to have input on our priorities and operations.
Robin brings with them a wealth of experience and skills to the Purple Wellness Counseling advisory board. A graduate of Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas, they are trained as a cultural anthropologist. Robin is presently a living historian with an emphasis on European fiber arts of the 15th and 16th centuries.
In addition to their academic background, Rev. Robin has donated their time as a volunteer pagan chaplain at the United States Disciplinary Barracks & Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary.
